Wildcats 3.0 was a pivotal book for me when I was younger and it was the first time I was devastated by a series cancellation. I was wondering if you could give any insight on what plans you had for it? I presume this could warrant its own series of newsletters.
I'm particularly curious about the Agent Wax subplot with his boss's wife and the direction it was going. It was clearly meant to make the reader uncomfortable, but I reread it recently and think it's particularly a shame that the subplot got cut off without some sort of comeuppance for him.
I keep getting ideas for more questions! So, there was the "infamous" Batman/Superman fall out where DC decided to tie in an old crossover Event without your knowledge or input (perhaps ala One World Under Doom).
I believe you said your run would have been really ambitious, where would it have gone?
Anything about your Zod series you wish had gone a but different? I loved the series, but it felt like two very different stories between the first and second halves and it felt like the story was incomplete. Also I would love to have you back on our podcast/YouTube show if you are open to it!
In Blood Squad Seven #6's edition of "Bloodsquatting", you wrote that "A few years ago, Eric Stephenson and I talked very seriously about how to bring back the Image shared universe in a much bigger way, launching multiple new titles, all of them operating in a way that would be extremely...conscientious of continuity. But, to be honest, as we played out the hypothetical scenario, the same challenges that the original founders faced were still there...and we couldn't quite crack the code."
I would LOVE any and all additional information you are able to provide about that "very serious talk", about the "multiple new titles" that were proposed (if any of them made it to that point) and what old and/or new characters/teams they would have featured, about any creators (again, either old and/or new) that were considered for those titles, and about exactly how the "hypothetical scenario" the two of you entertained played out, step by step.
Perhaps you could even interview Stephenson and together you could attempt to recreate that conversation for us? :)
Your Superman is highly underrated, uncollected and the best of the post triangle period. Were there any stories you didn't get to tell with that character? You mentioned Hypertime before was this going to feature more prominently? Also any chance of Chuck Amok ever returning?
I was surprised and disappointed you didn’t write the Wildcats 3.0 short story included in the Wildstorm 25th Anniversary book. Can you detail why you weren’t a part of that?
After reading Tom Brevoort’s Superman Timeline, I was wondering your thoughts on giving up ownership of creations. On the one hand, Seigel and Shuster’s character went on to make a corporation a lot of money. On the other hand, with all the rejection they initially faced, Seigel and Shuster may never have had careers in comics without signing away their rights.
Seigel and Shuster deserved much better treatment, but is there a time to give Marvel or DC a really good character so that it helps your career? Or do you think it is better to retain ownership in all cases?
This is specific to your Jonny Quest book, which I'm loving. A lot of us got into JQ via the 90s series, and I appreciated that you decided to use the full name that series gave Hadji. Do you plan to reference it in any other ways? Thanks and keep up the great work!
Thanks for the very informative 2 columns on what happened to Weapon XMen. When and why was the decision made to swap Thunderbird for Sabertooth? It seems like a no brainer that Sabertooth would’ve made a better dynamic with Wolverine and everyone else for that matter.
Your thoughts on Jonny Quest, and where you're getting inspiration for your recent work on the series? Did you check out any of the later TV adaptations or are you sticking mainly to the original '60s TV series?
So what does a Guy have to do to make you bundle all those essays about Comics in a nifty. Book?
(And not a question, but your work on Wildcats, Mr Majestic, and later on Intimates are all some of my favorite comics)
Do you and Charlie own the rights to Codeflesh?

Hi Joe, huge fan of your work. I have THREE questions I want to ask you about.
#1. Are you & Piotr Kowalski still working on the Sex OGNs at Image Comics.
#2. Despite Weapon X-Men ending, are you still open to do more work for Marvel.
#3. Any news on the DC Black Label book you are working on?

How did your involvement in Lion Forge come about? And how did that comics line come apart?
I was surprised and disappointed you didn’t write the Wildcats 3.0 short story included in the Wildstorm 25th Anniversary book. Can you detail why you weren’t a part of that?
And of course, what would the last year of Wildcats 3.0 looked like? You teased a radical change to how the Wildstorm Universe functioned…
